<\/p>\n

Dr. Annette Nietfeld:<\/strong> Die aktuelle Energiepreiskrise hat dazu gef\u00fchrt, dass der Strommarkt in den vergangenen Wochen intensiv in den \u00f6ffentlichen Fokus ger\u00fcckt ist. Auf nationaler und europ\u00e4ischer Ebene wird eine Reform des Energiemarktdesigns diskutiert. Wie stehen Sie dazu?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Chatterjee:<\/strong> Der Energiemarkt befindet sich mitten im Umbruch. Die Bundesregierung hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, bis 2045 klimaneutral zu sein. Der Anteil der erneuerbaren Energien am Prim\u00e4renergiebedarf liegt in Deutschland bei rund 20 Prozent. Das hei\u00dft, wir m\u00fcssen in den n\u00e4chsten 22 Jahren die restlichen 80 Prozent auf Erneuerbare umstellen. Neben Geschwindigkeit bei der Umsetzung von Projekten ben\u00f6tigen wir auch einen geeigneten regulatorischen Rahmen. F\u00fcr die Transformation der Energiem\u00e4rkte und eine zuverl\u00e4ssige und stabile Energieversorgung braucht es Flexibilit\u00e4tsoptionen, Energiespeicher und Grundlastabsicherung. Das hei\u00dft, wir brauchen neue Gaskraftwerke, die zuk\u00fcnftig auf Wasserstoff umgestellt werden k\u00f6nnen und Flexibilit\u00e4tsoptionen wie Batteriespeicher oder Elektrolyseure zur Absicherung von Fluktuation der Erneuerbaren. Die gro\u00dfe Kunst besteht darin, diese unterschiedlichen Komponenten miteinander effizient zu kombinieren.<\/p>\n

Dr. Annette Nietfeld:<\/strong> Wie kann das gelingen?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Chatterjee: <\/strong>Eine wichtige Rolle werden dezentrale L\u00f6sungen spielen, z.B. sogenannte Microgrids. Das sind dezentrale Energieversorgungssysteme, die aus mehreren Komponenten wie Batteriespeicher, Photovoltaik- oder Windkraftanlagen sowie Gasgeneratoren (zuk\u00fcnftig auch Wasserstoff) bestehen. Auch ein Elektrolyseur oder eine Brennstoffzelle k\u00f6nnen daran angeschlossen werden. Diese k\u00f6nnen im Zusammenspiel f\u00fcr Frequenzregulierung sorgen, Spitzenlastausgleich oder auch den Eigenverbrauch erh\u00f6hen. Mit Hilfe eines Microgrid Controllers l\u00e4sst sich ein solches System optimal steuern und an die Bed\u00fcrfnisse des Kunden anpassen.<\/p>\n

Dr. Annette Nietfeld:<\/strong> Gibt es bereits viele von diesen L\u00f6sungen? Haben die sich am Markt schon durchgesetzt?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Chatterjee: <\/strong>Die Nachfrage nach solchen L\u00f6sungen nimmt immer mehr zu. Bei uns in Friedrichshafen z.B. k\u00f6nnen Sie ein solches Microgrid bewundern. Leider stellen wir fest, dass das aktuelle Energiemarktdesign solche L\u00f6sungen nicht f\u00f6rdert, sondern eher verhindert. Der derzeitige Energy-Only-Markt liefert keinen ausreichenden Anreiz f\u00fcr Investitionen in gesicherte Leistung und Sektorkopplungsanlagen sowie weitere Flexibilit\u00e4tsoptionen.<\/p>\n

Dr. Annette Nietfeld:<\/strong> Was m\u00fcsste aus Ihrer Sicht getan werden?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Chatterjee: <\/strong>Der Strommarkt und seine Mechanismen m\u00fcssen weiterentwickelt werden. Dabei ist von entscheidender Bedeutung, dass neben einem Kapazit\u00e4tsmechanismus auch ein Flexibilit\u00e4tsmarkt eingef\u00fchrt wird. Es m\u00fcssen Voraussetzungen f\u00fcr umfangreiche weitere Investitionen in dargebotsabh\u00e4ngige Erzeugungsanlagen ebenso wie in vielf\u00e4ltige Flexibilit\u00e4tsoptionen in Form von Erzeugungs-, Speicher-, Sektorkopplungs- und auch Verbrauchsanlagen geschaffen werden. Denn Flexibilit\u00e4t wird und muss zunehmend zu einer Art Leitw\u00e4hrung der Energiewende werden.<\/p>\n
